Spring is a time of mixed emotions! From it warming up to getting cold again, to warming up to everything melting… It can be bitter sweet! We have always had at least one dog that loves to dig, as things melt… treasures are found and usually brought into the house.
Some tips to keep your house clean!
Keep the broom and mop out. Save yourself a trip and just have your cleaning tools ready. I do have several rugs that are super absorbent, and I think they really help cut down on mud and dust from getting into your house. Hang dry them after washing, they will last longer and be more absorbent this way!
I also have a microfiber spray mop by the back door, this lets me do a quick clean through out the day to keep things under control. I’ve had mine for over 5 years and I love that you can just throw the mop head in with the towels to wash and then reuse. I do hang dries these as well. I was told once not to put these kinds of things in the dryer as they will lose their absorbance power, I don’t know if this is true but I’ve been doing this for years!
And the BEST way to help cut down on things you DO NOT want tracked into your house. Get outside and pick up any little treasures that were hidden in snow over the last several months. Even the most thorough picker upper will miss some in our cold and snowy months! Happy spring! Hang in there!
